My mom recently discovered that if i’m on the lawn i can crawl and play and if i fall i won’t hurt my noggin. Genius. As for me, I just love to pull the grass…and sometimes eat it when she’s not looking.

I love playing in the grass
Fun with the Simonds Family
Today we drove out to Elmhurst to stay with our best buddies, The Simonds Family – Hilary, Adam, Leah and Rich. I had so much fun — played outside with a bunch of kids, had my first taste of ice cream and even went to a parade! Of course, I slept through the loudest drum solo in history at that parade but hey, that’s just how I roll. Happy Memorial Day everyone!
Playtime!
Mike and Michele Foote, my mom and dad’s friends from high school who live in Chicago, invited everyone over for brunch today. The best part? Lots of babies – and mostly all girls! Very nice odds.

My fancy duds
Today, we went to see my daddy’s friend Mark get married. Had a blast getting all dressed up and meeting the crew from Grand Blanc, MI where my mom and dad grew up. If you look really closely you can see whales on my tie – how cool is that?
My kind of town!
I love Chicago. This morning we woke up early and took a stroll down Michigan Avenue to the beach of Lake Michigan where we stopped to rest….and of course take some pictures. The sun was beautiful but man, that water was COLD! I think I’ll stick to the sand.
It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s ME FLYING!
Today I went up in an airplane for the first time! My mom and dad said I did pretty well and the flight attendant even gave me wings for my baby book. Here are some pics…
Me in the Admirals Club trying to calm my nerves with a swig of formula (well – kind of – there’s nothing in the bottle – I’m just showing off my acting chops)

After about 20 minutes of wiggling, I had had enough and was more than ready for nap time

Go Daddy Go!
Went to Daddy’s softball game tonight and despite the fact that we got rained on I loved every minute….until the cheering started when they came from behind to win the game in the bottom of the 7th. Turns out I HATE CHEERING! It scares the living daylights out of me! Does this mean I’m not ready for the Big House?
Breakfast with the Freemans
This is me having breakfast with our friend Steven Freeman. He’s not related but we like to act like he is. I guess he does like the Pistons so he’s pretty close to family anyway.
Don’t take my pickle away. Seriously.

I’m still standin’…
Today, I decided it was high time I got off my butt and used these two feet of mine to stand up! First, over at Grandma and Grandpa’s house using the fireplace and then a few hours later in my crib at home. Now its my favorite trick in the book….when i don’t fall over and bang my head on the crib, that is.
